U.S.S. ENTERPRISE

EQUINOX (1970) another rare movie

THIS MOVIE was always seen advertised in some way in Famous Monsters Of Filmland
back in the early 70s.

It was filmed in 16mm (death knell for picture quality), enlarged to 35mm
and it was very poorly lit, especially in the monster scenes.
NICE work on Equinox monster itself was blurred and shaded badly.

FUNNY

Nat'l Lampoon c.1974
The chase hat tells them
"This is an authority figure you're talking to here, Mister!"
Get yours today.....DON'T COP-OUT!

Here's another poster I like.

This one actually has Jeffery Hunter & France Nuyen,
both formerly of Star Trek.

Is he wearing a bowtie?

NO ONE who wears bow-ties should handle nuclear material.
Pee-Wee Herman wore a bow tie.

VERY rare sci-fi from the 60s, hardly ever seen

This movie was BURIED deliberately!
Think about it: American & Russian forces team up to recover a UFO on Chinese territory.
This was released in 1968, a terrible year in U.S. history for political & social tension.

EXCELLENT movie, great special effects for the time & after it
was released in theaters it was practically never heard of again
until Internet influence became explosively popular years later.

POSSIBLY a combination of circumstances and the arrangement of
political "powers that be" made this good movie dwindle into obscurity.

The Bamboo Saucer (1968)

Also: having "bamboo" in the title probably didn't help matters sales-wise either.
Bamboo is not a strong-selling term, especially for sci-fi.
If anything, bamboo probably reminded people of Gilligan's Island.

This movie got great reviews on IMDB
