The Hideous Sun Demon (1958): HIDEOUS artwork for radiation symbol!!

Everything looks cool but the radiation symbols look "way out in right field".

Also: DANGER is always posted in clearly visible colors, and by no means in
black against a dark background where it is hard to see.

Proper, standardized radiation symbol:

Leonard Nimoy IN SEARCH OF: Eerie "millionth council" caller from 70s Bermuda Triangle episode.

I remember seeing this as a kid in the 70s and being impressed but it could
have been an old guy in Florida with a six-pack for if all the world knows!

DAY THE WORLD ENDED (1955).........Blu-rayed!!!!

This is why I have faith:
People who own these great movies I grew up with
sometimes take them off the shelf or out of the vault and they give that glorious 35mm print the blu-ray job it deserves.

Now they are becoming available to the world
and the image is clearer than it was years ago on TV broadcasts.

PICTURED BELOW:
Dashing, sophisticated Man-About-Town.
He may be a Stockbroker or a Doctor.

Later to be re-made for TV by Larry Buchanan as "In The Year 2889"
Both movies have absolutely nothing to do with the year 2889 or
the Jules Verne novel the title refers to.

Buchanan purchased the rights to the title "In The Year 2889"
and attached it to the 16mm milestone below.

Monster A Go-Go!!!

Planet Earth or Genesis ll....both Roddenberry movies from the 70s

Note NASA seal, rarely used in sci-fi movies before this:

Picturephone.....what they didn't tell you:

Was that it had a TERRIBLE frame rate...something like 2 frames a second.
By no means did it produce the consistent television-like quality the concept clearly implied.

2001 promoted some variant of this:

"picture unit has a zoom feature"!!!!
